Podcasting
I wrote an episode for Epic Magazine’s Little America podcast, a series that tells incredible true stories of immigrants in America. My episode follows Brendan Fay, who, after immigrating from Ireland in the late ’80s, tried marching in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade to celebrate his full identity—Irish, Catholic, and gay. He got booed, fired, and even arrested. Brendan eventually realized that if he wanted a truly inclusive St. Pat’s parade, he’d have to make one himself. You can listen here.
I’m was the lead reporter, and contributed writing for Epic Magazine and Podcast One’s Varnamtown podcast, that takes listeners on a deep dive into the history of a tiny fishing village in North Carolina that became a drug smuggling hotbed in the 70s and 80s, with alleged ties to Pablo Escobar. The series is co-hosted by actor Kyle MacLachlan and investigative reporter Joshua Davis. You can listen here.
I wrote and produced an episode on 23andMe founder Anne Wojcicki for Sequoia’s Crucible Moments podcast, a show about the inflection points that shaped some of the most important companies of our time. You can listen here.
Storytelling Workshops
I’ve designed and led documentary workshops for Syrian refugee young adults in Jordan, helping them to tell their stories through their lens.
I’ve also designed and led interactive storytelling workshops for fortune 500 companies. The sessions help them learn how to discover, report, and bring to life the true stories that reflect their brand’s spirit and ethos in order to connect with their audience in authentic, emotional ways.
